One of the largest Christian festivals is preparing for its third annual appearance next month with nationally famed preacher Bishop T.D. Jakes and a lineup of top names in faith, business and entertainment. MegaFest 2006 hits Atlanta for another family event on July 19-22.

"MegaFest is just such an incredible experience for people of all walks of life and a way we can come together as family and friends in a spirit of unity," said Jakes in a released statement.

Men, women, youth and children will experience what hundreds of thousands of people have already attended for a unifying four days of concerts, electrifying messages, and comedy. This year's speaker lineup includes Jakes, Bishop Paul S. Morton, pastor of the Greater St. Stephen Missionary Church; Dave Ramsey, personal money management expert; Pastor Paula White, motivational speaker; and others.

It's a "family-friendly" celebration featuring Jakes' Woman, Thou Art Loosed! and ManPower conferences and Mega Youth Experience and MegaKidz. The event also gives attendants a chance to better themselves in terms of finances and teen issues.

MegaFest will again be broadcasted live across the nation to prisoners who, while not able to join the event itself, can still receive spiritual healing.

Some of the performers and guests for the 2006 event include legendary soul artist Aretha Franklin, Tye Tribbett, Steve Harvey, and Donnie McClurkin. Kraft's 3rd Annual Gospel Talent Search will also culminate at MegaFest on July 21 where ten finalists will be narrowed down to one winner.

MegaFest debuted in Atlanta in 2004 and had a record-breaking campus attendance of 560,000 in three days. Since then, MegaFest has returned each year, drawing tens of thousands more to Atlanta's premier venues – the Georgia Dome, the Georgia World Congress Center, Philips Arena and the International Plaza.
