Cher Wang Testifies Faith at Father's Farewell Ceremony

Daughter of Taiwan's billiionaire Wang Yung-Ching (Y.C. Wang)testified her faith in Jesus Christ at her father's farewell ceremony. Those participating the events are special VIP guests, including Taiwan's president Ma Ying-jeou and many others.

In her native Taiwan, where she is called Wang Hsiueh-Hong, Cher Wang, a devout Christian and 50 year old, has been ranked as one of the wealthiest women. Economics ranked her in the top 25 stars of Asia in 2005 and the Wall Street Journal ranked her in the top 10 female general managers. Her company, VIA Technologies, plays a significant role in the international IT business market.

In her dedication speech at the event, Wang shared that Christianity has had and continous to impact and influence her in every aspect of her life, for she "feels that God is like a friend who is always beside me and she can converse with.”

In a recent interview with Wang at VIA Technologies Beijing headquarter, a media company from mainland noticed many paintings and Bible passages displayed in her office. To list more examples of the influence of Christianity upon her, Cher has named the entire development plans of her company as the "Cannan Plan."

"If man doesn't have prospect, then he will be lost; while there are many unpredictable difficulties and sufferings on the path ahead, we can endure and persist if there is prospect", she said.

Wang testified that she was able to endure through 10 years that was filled with difficulties because God was her strongest support. Every time she faces difficulties, she feels that God would tell her to be thankful under all circumstances. Every she prays, she will begin with giving thanks. She believes that all the experiences that God gives are good, because upon experiencing the sufferings, we become better than before.

Although Wang has never interfered with her sons, at age 16 and 10 and living in United States, she said that she hopes they can become pastors instead of inheriting her business.

Wang has partcipated in the Proust Questionnaire before, and her answers revealed the depth of influence of Christianity in her life.

When ask of what is the most ideal happiness, she answered that it is when she is together with God; when asked of which feature on your body do you dislike the most, she answered that whatever God has given me is the best; when asked which vocabulary do you use the most, she answered “gratitude”; when asked of what is the happiest moment of her life, the female business tycoon said that it is when she is together with God; when asked of what is the way that you would hope to die from, she answered it is to die while she is preaching.
