The CRY Vancouver: 2,000 Youths Fasted and Prayed for Canada

Aug 18, 2009 10:45 AM EDT

With great passion and earnestness, over 2,000 people prayed together for the nation of Canada for it to turn away from its sinful ways, repent, and to experience a spiritual revival at The CRY, a large prayer and fasting movement, held in Vancouver’s Stanley Park.

Joined with the thousands of youths from across Canada, Lou Engle, founder of The Call, a large youth prayer movement from the States, participated in leading the prayer for Canada.

Engle believes that every country, every city, and every generation has its moments of transformation in history. Therefore, he called upon the youths of the nation to turn away from their sins and repent, and through prayer and fasting, allowing the country to turn away from its sins and cause a revival in spirituality.

The CRY is not a concert, a conference, nor does it announces the speaker’s names or the names of the worship team, because they believe that Christians need to turn their man centered focus to focusing on the Lord Jesus Christ. That day’s event was broadcasted live on God TV.
