Vancouver, British Columbia | November 30. 2011 – This Saturday, December 3rd will mark The Salvation Army's Harbour Light Ministry working in partnership with the Rotary Club of Vancouver Quadra in hosting a foot clinic for clients of the Downtown Lower Eastside.

For many, footwear is synonymous with fashion and function. However, for the country's most vulnerable, a pair of shoes is something that is never taken for granted. The goal is to help to fulfill a basic need.

Additionally, foot assessments and foot‐related education will be provided for those individuals who do not necessarily have access to adequate footcare and footwear while The BC Association of Podiatrists will be providing registered podiatrists for consultation and assessment. Guests who attend the event, will also receive a new reconditioned pair of shoes, socks and a complimentary foot bath
