In Light of the merge between the Evangelical Synod of the International Media Ministries and the Historic Protestant Synod in Belgium, the IMM announced its move from Brussels, Belgium, to Madrid, Spain, scheduled for the summer of 2003.

According to the A/G World Missions Europe Regional Director Greg Mundis, the IMM hopes to direct their attention to “new and creative ways for the foreseeable future.”

“We firmly believe in the providence of God in this situation for IMM, as well as the other ministries located in Brussels.” He added.

The merge between the A/G IMM Evangelical Syond and the Protestant Synod, effective January 1, 2003, marks a great advancement on the part of the IMM, in gaining legal status and recognition within the country as one Federal Synod for both groups. All missionaries within the Federal Synod will receive legal recognition within the country.

“We are deeply grateful to the Evangelical Synod for their years of negotiations with the Protestant Synod to bring about this historic convergence with very positive ramifications for our missionary family,” commented Mundis.

The Federal Synod, in cooperation with the Belgium government will establish a clear criterion concerning missionary personnel residing in Belgium, thereby clarifying all missions’ positions within the nation.
