The winner of the Colombia versus Peru game will advance to the quarter-finals of the Copa America as the two countries bring to end their Group C campaign, according to Football News. Fortunately our improvement was very clear as we produced a complete game that we won fairly thanks to our hard work. For that we are happy because the players played a great game."
Peru is coming from a fresh 1-0 victory against Venezuela on Thursday. The victory paved for Group C to be wide open with all the four teams each has 3 points after two matches, said Total Sportek.
Peru legend Claudio Pizarro scored the only goal during the game in 72 minutes. Venezuela struggled during the game as Amorebiet was penalized with red in 30 minutes of the first half. The Venezuelans were not able to recover after that which gave Peru the much needed victory.
