Players of Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) are followers of one of the biggest games of all time, and Rockstar, the game's developer, is always out to give its followers as many treats with downloadable content (DLC).  This time, there is a trick-or-treat with the special Halloween Surprise DLC, here are the dates of availability for the new features.

According to Gamespot, the announcement of Halloween content games as a real surprise as it was just announced on GTA online last Thursday.  This content includes two vehicles with a macabre slant to them: Lurcher Huse and Franken Stange.  Just so you know, these cars have been given a speed test, and Lurcher has slightly slower acceleration in comparison to Stange while the former has a greater top speed than the latter.  Given an actual race scenario, these cars would run neck and neck and barely edge over the other, with the player constantly compromising on speed to take sharp turns and avoid obstacles.  These "horror" cars aren't built for racing, but they could be used in other jobs.

There is also 20 new "ghoulish" bobbleheads that can be added to any new lowrider car, so it looks like this Halloween DLC can be used with the Lowrider DLC released recently. These bobbleheads include Frankenstein, some crazy witch ladies, Dracula, zombies, and guys with chainsaws.   In addition to the new bobbleheads, there are also reports that these updates will include some new interior upgrades as well as some haunted horn sounds, according to the International Business Times.

The GTA V Halloween update allows the players to don some Halloween-themed masks for Heists.  Players will find these masks in a Halloween mask category in the Monsters section of Vespucci Movie Masks store.  In addition to the face covering, there is also 30 new spooky face paint options for the holiday season.

This GTA V Halloween Surprise also includes a "Slasher" adversary mode, which is officially described as "Run, hide, and fight to survive in the darkness as the player designated as the Slasher stalks their prey with a shotgun. Use your new flashlight to navigate if you dare, but be careful not to reveal your position or you'll quickly become prey. Survive for 3 minutes and you'll get the chance to return the favor with a shotgun of your own."

Rockstar is planning on having more going on this Halloween as it announced on its own Newswire that there will be an Event Playlist for their new Adversary mode.  There will also be exclusive T-Shirts from Vinewood's slasher flicks like "Knife After Dark" on Friday, October 30th, "Psycho Swingers" on Saturday, October 31st, and then "Zombie Liberals From The Midwest" on Sunday, November 1st.

The GTA V Halloween Surprise is available until November 16. However, if you purchase the content before then, it will be yours forever.  It is only available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC versions, as Rockstar has recently stopped rollouts of new DLC on old-gen systems.
