Those that want to play baseball on the Sony PlayStation 4 have a grand opportunity for the next version of MLB The Show 16 debuts in late March.  This is what is known about MLB The Show 16 Release Date, New Features, Price, How to Get a Good Deal on All Three Versions.

If you are interested in seeing more about MLB The Show 16, there is a lot to be seen.  There is a whole calendar of updates that happen every few days in both February and March with developer diaries and Twitch streams, and a full video can be seen on Gotta Be Mobile

One of the features of MLB The Show 16 is the "Road to the Show", and there has been a lot of improvements done to it in 2016. For example, there is a Scout Day, for demonstrating individual skills for the scouts, and this performance will affect your scouting report.  Once you are drafted, it is easy to get through a lot of games in a short amount of time.  You can also play a full series of games without every loading back to the main menu.

Then there are "perks", both passive and active, to improve At Bat performance. There is also "slow time" moments where you can make some pretty amazing hits and catches as time slows down.  You can learn more on the next live stream on Twitch on February 4th at 2 PM Pacific Time, where there will be more about the "Road to the Show" and ShowTime.

MLB The Show 16 has a release date of March 29th, and it will only be available for the PS4 and the PS3.  Like the previous two years, it doesn't look like there will be any beta available.

Purchasing the game digitally on the PlayStation Store means that you can play the game at midnight on March 29th, which means that those who live by Pacific Time can play the game at 9 PM on March 28th.  There will probably be some kind of midnight release party events at Gamestop and Best Buys as there was last year when MLB The Show 15 came out.

The game comes in three different versions.  The first is the base version which is $59.99.

The MLB The Show 16 MVP Edition is $69.99, but it has $135 of added content including 5,000 Stubs ($5.00), 1 Sponsor Pack ($5.00), 10 Standard Packs ($10.00), 31 PS4 Avatars ($31.00), and 1 Opening Day Pack ($25.00).

The MLB The Show 16 Digital Deluxe Edition is $99.99 with $200 in extras, available only that the PlayStation Store.  Included within this package is 11,000 Stubs ($10.00), a Sponsor Pack ($5.00), 20 Standard Packs ($20.00), 31 PS4 Avatars ($31.00), and 3 Opening Day Packs ($75.00).

There are also some other purchases the players should consider before purchasing either one of the MLB The Show 16 versions.  Both require membership to a service like Amazon Prime ($99 per year) and Gamers Clue Unlocked ($30 for two years).  Should you have those options, you can receive 20 percent off any of the disk based versions of MLB The Show 16
