‘GTA 6’ Release Date and Location; Is the Game Going to London?

With Rockstar Games having one of their best few years ever since the release of GTA 5, which is one of the biggest games of all time.  This has led to many wondering what is next for GTA 6, which did not have any presence at E3 2016, the big video game convention which took place in mid-June.  What is interesting is that one of the big showrunners of GTA, Leslie Benzies, has left, and it looks like some changes are in store for GTA 6.  This is what is going on with GTA 6 release date and new location.

The Next Gen Console Issue for GTA 6

The issue with GTA 5 was that it was first released in September of 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.  The date of this is important, because, at the end of 2013, the next generation of consoles with the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One was on the cusp of being released.  One would think that Rockstar games would have waited until the next generation of consoles, as GTA 4 ruled the PS3 and Xbox One.

Instead, Rockstar decided "to heck with it" and released the next version of their game anyway.  People bought it in droves, and then, in November 2014 (one year later), Rockstar released it for the PS4 and the Xbox One.  I have no idea what the actual numbers are, but GTA 5 is one of the best-selling games of all time.

If you can't see where I am going here, then Rockstar might duplicate their "strategy."  That is, they could release GTA 6 at the same time as the Xbox Two and PS5 are about to be released.  That way, players would buy GTA 6 for the PS4 and Xbox One, and then have to purchase it again with the next generation of systems.  The players might not like that strategy, but if it makes Rockstar, even more, money, why wouldn't they try that.

The GTA 6 Location

GTA 5 was very big, as it covered an entire state with a different major city and a lot of small towns.  It is one of the biggest open worlds to explore of any game ever, but there have been rumors of either an American version of Liberty City or some place that is outside of America.  There are rumors of it taking place in London, according to Gotta Be Mobile

There might also be the possibility of not just a state, but an entirely new world, according to N4BB.  If it does go to London, then it will have the possibility of right-hand drive (RHD) vehicles.

The Exact Release Date of GTA 6

Let's just forget about what console the GTA 6 will go to, and it is possible that it will be ready in 2018, 2019, or even 2020.  Yes, that is a very broad release time, but there has been very little word on this game, other than the fact that it is being made.
