It should be known that comic books are all the rage on the big screen, and Netflix was very prepared for this boom as they green-lit four series of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.  One character of The Punisher was so popular on Daredevil's Season 2, that he will be getting his own show.  Eventually, all these characters are going to team-up on The Defenders, following the pattern of the popular Avengers films.  This is what is known about Daredevil Season 3, Jessica Jones Season 2, as well as the first seasons of Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, and The Defenders, and what fans want to see.

I'm going to make it simple for anyone reading to apply the usage of TL;DR (Too Long; Didn't Read).  Here are the bullet points for these popular Marvel/Netflix shows.

Daredevil Season 3 (coming next year unless done on The Defenders)

  • Comic character and fan-favorite Bulls-Eye needs to appear, and be played by action star Jason Statham. That is the latest rumor.
  • Elektra was killed, but she could easily be raised from the dead, as a villain from Season 1 was already resurrected for Season 2.
  • Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson will have to make up at some point, and then restart their law firm of Nelson and Murdock.
  • Has The Hand been dealt with? Or are they being saved for another show?
  • The "Born Again" plotline.
  • The Aftermath of the Matt Murdock revealing his secret identity to Karen Page.

Jessica Jones, Season 2 (also coming next year unless done on The Defenders)

  • The return of Will Simpson, aka Nuke, assuming he doesn't show up on Daredevil.
  • The real origin story of Jessica Jones, which wasn't fully told.
  • The past of Trish Walker, aka Patsy, with her child-star past.
  • The bigger business of Jessica Jones, private eye, as well as a new villain for this season.
  • More connections with the Daredevil TV show then just side characters. Foggy is working for Jeri Hogarth, so who knows the connection there.

Luke Cage, Season 1 (Coming September 30, 2016)

  • Let's see Luke take on crime. Aren't we watching it for that?
  • The Marvel Cinematic Universe's version of Harlem. It could be worse than Hell's Kitchen.
  • Luke Cage's origin? How did he get to me who he is?
  • A special appearance from Iron Fist. (Hey, Jessica Jones introduced us to Luke Cage, so why not have this Luke Cages's well-known partner from the comics show up here?)

Iron Fist, Season 1 (Presumably coming in Early 2017, possibly before or after The Defenders)

  • Again, we need an origin story. Daniel Rand, aka Iron Fist's real name, has his powers based in some mystic source, so let's talk about that source.
  • Will The Hand show up on this show? It would make a lot of sense, because they seem to have a master plan involving a deep pit, or something. We could use a little explanation here.
  • Special guest appearance by Luke Cage. Because connections. Also, Jessica Jones, maybe Daredevil. Okay, that's too much.
  • A Release Date. It is assumed to come out in 2017, but there has been nothing official.

The Punisher (no known release date)

  • He needs to meet that guy who does his tech. I think his name is Microchip.
  • Frank Castle needs to establish his one-man war on crime.
  • The Punisher needs to have his origin story shown, and not told. He will soon become a more sympathetic vigilante.

The Defenders (reportedly filming now, but no established release date)

  • Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, with the possible addition of the Punisher, all in one room.
  • A villain that would give these characters an excuse to get together and fight in the first place.
  • Some more tie-ins with the Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as well as the Avengers universe. That feels like something from my dreams, honestly. You never know, though.
