The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 was quite a hit upgrade for the device, and so it really stands to reason that a Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is on the way.  After all, the Surface Pro 4 and its companion the Surface Book came out at October of last year.  So what is going to happen with the Surface Pro 5, with its release date, rumors, and updates.  Speaking of updates, there is a Windows 10 Anniversary Update, and here's how to download it.

According to Mobile and Apps, there has really been an absence of an official announcement about the final release date of the Surface Pro 5.  It is possible that it could be out by fourth quarter 2016.  However, many sources are pointing to a possible release date in early 2017, but we will see.

It should be known that Redstone 2, this upcoming Windows 10 update, will come with Microsoft Surface Pro 5. It is also expected to have an Intel Kaby Lake processor, which is still under development and not expected to show until 2017.

So the release date for the Surface Pro 5 is pretty fluid and it could be delayed to next year, Science World Report says that it is expected to have a rechargeable stylus and dock.  It is believed that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will roll out in 2K as well as 4K displays.  It will have 16 GB of RAM, with a 16 Megapixel rear camera and 8 Megapixel front camera.  It will also have a USB 3.1 Type C port for double the speed of data transfer.

As far as the price of the Surface Pro 5, the price is expected to be $899 for the Core i5 variant, $999 for the Intel Core i7 variant, and the $1,599 for the i7 Extreme variant.  So, there is going to be this as well as the Surface Book 2 and even the Surface Phone, and they probably will begin with Windows 10.

While we are on the subject of Windows 10, the Windows 10 Anniversary Update has begun to roll out for their customers around the world.  According to the Windows Blog, it is full of features that will bring Windows Ink and better Cortana, as well as a more accessible and power-efficient Microsoft Edge browser, with security features and gaming experiences.  This Windows 10 Anniversary Update will start rolling out to Windows 10 Mobile phones in the coming weeks.  There are instructions of how to do it at the aforementioned Windows Blog.
