Gamescom 2016 Schedule, New Games Release Update: Tekken 7, Battlefield, Final Fantasy 15 and Metal Gear Survive

Thousands of gamers are expected to come on Cologne, Germany for this year's Gamescom. The annual trade show is set to showcase some of the biggest titles of 2016. Now, we'll give you an update about what are the games that will be announced on Gamescom 2016.

The gaming conference takes place in the Koelnmesse, between August 17-21.The conference showcases many unreleased titles from major game publishers. Let's check out which games are worth waiting for.

Tekken 7

The next edition of Tekken will not be released until 2017, but gamers can now play it at Gamescom 2016. A quick match or two against a friend on the show floor will give gamers a glimpse on what to expect for the game.

Polygon reports Tekken 7 will introduce Lee Chaolan (and his alter ego Violet) to the fighting game's roster. Lee will be featured in the game's story mode, as he was raised alongside Kazuya Mishima by Heikachi.

Tekken will land on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One next year.

Battlefield 1

While Call of Duty games has been constantly pushing the first person shooter genre in the future, Battlefield goes to a different direction and head back to World War I. This is something that fans have been requesting for some time. At Gamescom 2016, publisher DICE is set to showcase a series of matches in Battlefield 1.

Players can expect action-filled and impressive set pieces from the game's single player offering. Also, the new setting provides some interesting options in the teamwork-focused multiplayer mode. A report from Heavy says players can ride on horses, or take to the skies in a zeppelin, while shooting bullets to their opponents.

Dice also confirmed on their Gamescom stream that an Open Beta of Battlefield 1 will begin on August 31. Interested players can visit the game's official website for more information.

Final Fantasy XV

Squre Enix has released more than 50 screenshots of Final Fantasy XV from the show floor of Gamescom, as per report from TechnoBuffalo. The screenshots reveal some of the unannounced features of the game including alternate casual outfits of characters, a dark-haired female character, fishing activity and a rare white Chocobo.

Final Fantasy XV will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Nov. 29.

Metal Gear Survive

According to IGN, Survive will be the first full Metal Gear game after Hideo Kojima left the franchise. In a press release, Konami European president Tomotada Tashiro said "Metal Gear Survive will offer a fresh take on the series' famed stealth elements."

The full details of the game are not yet available, but it will be designed for four-player co-op play. Also, gamers can expect a bunch of new weapons to fight off enemies. Konami described the game as "survival done the Metal Gear way."
