Season 3 of the hit CW show The Flash is going to be quite something. Not only will there be a big event known as Flashpoint, but there will also be the first appearance of Wally West as Kid Flash. This what is known about The Flash Season 3 release date, with the appearance of Savitar and Doctor Alchemy.

As we reported before, The Flash Season 3 is going to have a lot going on it. First, there is going to be Flashpoint, which is an adaptation from an event comic. This event began with Barry Allen (The Flash's real name) going back in time to save the life of his mother. Apparently, this event changed a lot of things in the DC universe, causing Aquaman's fellow Atlantians to wage war with each other and Thomas Wayne, the father of Bruce Wayne, not being shot and becoming Batman. This is one of those time travel stories where changing one significantly small event changes everything.

Chances are, the Flashpoint plotline is going to change everything in the DC/Arrow universe established on the CW. Time travel has happened a lot in DC's Legends of Tomorrow, and it would appear that the established TV universe is taking pages out of the DC comics with events like Crisis on Infinite Earths, where a big battle alters the continuity of the entire universe. It is possible that this is the way that Supergirl is going to enter into this CW universe.

With all the excitement of Flashpoint, there is also going to be the entrance of Kid Flash, as we reported before. This would be Wally West, who is going to be played by Keiynan Lonsale, and he will be sidekick for Barry. By the way, there was a tie when Barry was dead, and Wally took on the role of The Flash. It would not surprise me at all if Season 3 will focus on some plotline where Barry ends up seemingly dead, and Wally must take on the role.

There is a new report from Cinemablend saying that two more villains will be joining in the Flash cast. The first is a Savitar, a relatively new Flash character who was created in 1995, as The Flash is decades older than that. Savitar is a pilot who was infected by the Speed Force, and named himself after Savitr the Hindu "god of motion". He will be played by Todd Lasance, and he has some interesting powers.

The second villain who will appear is Doctor Alchemy, who is what his name implies. The Flash usually fights villains that were affected by science, but this is a man who has been changed by alchemy. Doctor Alchemy's origins in the comics are like the Flash, as an accident granted his powers.

There has been some images of the villains at Comic-Con trailer, and there is a report of a shot of Savitar facing off against the Wally West Flash and Barry seeing a vision of the word "Alchemy" written out.

Fans will be able to welcome The Flash back to prime time on Tuesday, October 4 at 8 PM EST.
