There's no doubt that viewers who already finished watching Marco Polo Season 2 will want to see the show's third season. However, as now, there's has not been any confirmation about the Season 3. In spite of this, many believe the show will return to Netflix in the next years to come.

Early reports say the Marco Polo series has been cancelled and will no longer air for a third season. However, viewers still believe there will be Season 3. It is reported that the creators and producers have hinted out the possibility of Marco Polo's next adventure.

Benedict Wong, who plays Kublai Khan, might return for Marco Polo Season 3 amid rumors that Netflix has fired him. The actor has been casted in the movie Doctor Strange, Marvel's upcoming superhero film, leading some to speculate that he might not have time for the third season of Marco Polo.

Good thing, it is impossible for Kublai Khan to not appear next season as he is one of the main characters of the show. The character that Wong plays has very important role in the series and the plot will definitely be affected should he leaves the show.

Interestingly, several entertainment websites claim Netflix officials are now talking with TV networks to air Marco Polo Season 3. As a matter of fact, Chief content officer of Netflix Ted Sarandos said they are now negotiating with NBC Universal, HBO and AMC.

In Twitter, John Fusco, one of the creators of show, wrote: "We're not done, Monk. Me and you, we're not done." #KublaiKhan #HundredEyes @MarcoPoloMP @greatwhitematt @netflix"

As of now, Netflix has not yet revealed any details about Marco Polo Season 3. There are reports that say the show might return in 2018.

A review from IGN says a large part of the show has to do with Polo himself being an engaging character. Polo, who is played by Italian actor Lorenzo Richelmy, is abandoned by his father in a foreign land where he embarks on an epic journey.

Also, the show's Kung Fu scenes are action-filled and entertaining to watch. According to Time, viewers who like Game of Thrones and historical drama and martial arts movies will definitely love this gorgeous but ludicrous saga.

With that being said, let's wait for more announcements from Netflix. We'll keep you posted if there's new information. Stay tuned with us for more update.
