Most Anticipated Video Games of Fall 2016: ‘ReCore’, ‘FIFA 17’, ‘Forza Horizon 3’, ‘Mafia 3’, and ‘Dead Rising 4’ Release Date and News

By now, most gamers have been disappointed with the release of No Man's Sky.  Fortunately, there are a lot of video games coming out in 2016 that are very anticipated.

ReCore: Release Date of September 12 for Xbox One and PC

Fans of Mega Man should love ReCore, because it was created by Keiji Inafune.  It bears a passing resemblance to Horizon Zero Dawn, and the game's official website describes it as the player is Joule Adams, a young survivor who sets off on a journey through the desert.  Apparently these Corebots have gone rogue, and there are sandstorms through this land as Joule tries to get to "Far Eden" so mankind can rebuild itself after...I don't know.

Seriously, what the heck happened in this world?  I've already mentioned the comparison to Horizon Zero Dawn, as it looks like some kind of Terminator or Matrix war against the machines have happened here. It doesn't look like the machines are completely villainous as Joule has this cute little robotic dingo companion named Mack.  Joule also has allies of Escape Artist Corebot Seth, and Heavy Hitter Duncan, who are both robots, according to Mobile and Apps

The good news is that the game will be on sale for a lower price than most AAA games, at about $40 at launch.  It should be out by next week, and it is terrific to see a new game like this come out that isn't affiliated with a major franchise.  It has the potential to be something incredible.

FIFA 17: Release Date of September 27  for PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC

Unlike ReCore, FIFA 17 is tied into a gaming franchise, and it is also a sports franchise too.  It is something that we have reported on before, and a recent report from Wales Online states that the player will be able to play as Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, PSG, and Juventus.

The good news is that if you want to play this game already, you won't have to wait as long for the official release date.  According to iDigitalTimes, FIFA's 17 demo will be out on Tuesday, Sept. 13.  They also reported that the stadiums will include Stamford Bridge, Suita City Football Stadium and Centurylink Field.

Forza Horizon 3: Release Date of September 27 for Xbox One and Microsoft Windows

Here is another sports game!  CNET describes Forza Horizon 3 as "a sweet joy ride".  The new version of this racing game has more than 300 vehicles, many new maps, and multiplayer matchmaking.

What is really interesting is a report from Ecumenical News reports that players will be able to drive the Warthog, the iconic vehicle from Halo.  Players will also be able to customize that and all the other vehicles, and the main location of the game will be in Australia with various terrains to challenge the driver/player.

Final Fantasy XV: Release Date September 30 for PS4 and Xbox One

Oh man, have we talked a lot about this game in the past.  It is probably the most anticipated game on this list, as it has spent a decade in development hell.  It has a CG movie to hype it up, and an animate series on YouTube as well.  For those who love this decades-old franchise, hopefully it will live up to your expectations.

Mafia 3: Release Date October 7 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC

This is a good offering from 2K Games and Hanger 13, which is adding on to the hit gaming/crime franchise.  According to Windows Central, it is set in 1968, with a player being Lincoln Clay as he rises up in the organized crime world of New Bordeaux, which is essentially a fictionalized version of New Orleans.

The good news for players is that there will be a bunch of free content for Mafia III available right after the launch, like new outfits for Lincoln and new weapons.  There will be additional car customization that features post-launch, along with free races that the players can join.

There will also be some serious story-based expansions for Mafia III, and they have some interesting names of "Faster Baby", "Sign of the Times", and "Stones Unturned".  Mafia III is available for pre-order for $59.99, or a Deluxe Edition for $79.99.  There is a Season Pass available for $29.99, which will allow players to play all of the DLCs.

Gears of War 4: Release Date October 10 for Xbox One and PC

There is a lot riding on this game's franchise as well, and it looks to be a lot of interesting things going on with this game.

Battlefield 1: Release Date October 21for PS4, Xbox One, and PC

The series is going back to its roots, and even before World War II with a World War I setting.  It is one that is worth talking about

The Last Guardian: Release Date October 25 for PS4

This is another game that has been in development over a decade.  Hopefully it will live up to its hype

Titanfall 2: Release Date October 28 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC

This game is a pretty big one to a franchise that is already big.  Find out more information about the game here

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare: Release Date November 4 for PS4, Xbox One, PC

I'm not certain what a game that looks so cool is receiving so much hate.  Hopefully, it will be a hit like its predecessors.

Dishonored 2: Release Date November 11 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC

Here's a sequel to a Bethesda game that is quite imaginative, and there is a lot happening in the sequel.

Watch Dogs 2: Release Date November 11 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC

This is a sequel to the successful hacking game, and this one is in San Francisco

Dead Rising 4: Release Date December 6 for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One

It looks like there is another chapter to yet another zombie world that is an open world survival horror beat 'em up game.  This time, the player will be photojournalist Frank West, who has returned to Willamette, Colorado during the Christmas season.  For the holidays, he got a whole ton of undead.  It is the usual beat them all up setting, but there is no timer system this time.
