Rumors about the sixth installment of the "The Elder Scrolls" franchise are now circulating online. Bethesda marketing executive Pete Hines allegedly said the Elder Scrolls 6 is included in their slate of upcoming titles. However, developers have to finish a couple of titles first before making the sequel of Skyrim.

Now, here's the latest round-up of update about Elder Scrolls 6 release date and rumors on the web.

In an interview with GameSpot, Hines said the sequel of 2011's The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be released in due time. It is also reported that Bethesda is not considering the release of the sequel until at least 2020. As we mentioned earlier, the studio will be focused on at least two projects before beginning to develop the Elder Scrolls 6.

Several gaming websites claim the next entry in the Elder Scrolls series might become available in 2020. If this is true, it might support VR gaming systems. Game director Todd Howard previously said that Bethesda is studying the capabilities of VR technology for the Elder Scrolls franchise. The immersive gaming in VR systems will definitely make future Bethesda titles more awesome.

The current Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released in November 2011. It won more than 200 "Game of the Year Awards ". As testament to the game's success, it also sold over 20 million copies worldwide since its launching. Gamers loved the fantasy-adventure game because of its massive open-world, dragon battles and lovely art design.

Meanwhile, some gaming analysts say the development of Elder Scrolls 6 would be a slow progress as game developers are still busy for Bethesda's upcoming games, such as Quake Champions and Prey. Also, the studio does not have enough programmers and developers to finish Elder Scrolls 6 quickly.

While waiting, gamers can look forward for the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, which will land on Oct.28 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This remastered title will come with all-new features like improved art and effect, volumetric god rays and dynamic depth of field.

Additionally, the Skyrim Special Edition will bring the full power of mods to the Xbox One and PC. With game modification, players can have new characters, dialogue, armor, weapons and tons of new quests.
