iMac 2016 Release Date, Specs and Rumors

After the new iPhone 7, Apple is reportedly now preparing to launch another product. A host of new Mac devices is rumored to become available next month, according to Bloomberg. Now, here's the latest round-up of update about iMac 2016 release date, specs and rumors.

The month of September is usually intended for iPad and iPhone releases. As we already know, the next-generation iPhone 7 become available on Sept. 7. Despite its controversial features, it was reportedly sold out in most of Apple Stores in the country.

On October, it will be the time for the new Mac products to shine. The refreshed Mac lineup includes new MacBook Air 2016, new MacBook Pro 2016, a 5K standalone monitor and new version of the iMac desktop.Rumors around the internet claim the iMac 2016 will be released before the month of October ends.

Furthermore, the new iMac will reportedly offer option for AMD or Advanced Micro Devices Inc video cards. The graphics processing unit from the company will definitely boost the performance of the desktop to perform much tougher tasks.

The same report from Bloomberg claims the iMac 2016 will be equipped with the newly released RX 400 graphics cards of AMD. In the past few months, AMD has launched the RX 460, 470 and 480 - these GPUs have the capacity to bring significant upgrade to the refreshed iMac.

Apple is also believed to be cooperating with LG to develop a monitor that supports 5K resolution. The ultra-clear monitor will have seven times more pixel than the standard 1080p monitors. If the rumors are true, the iMAc will be capable of running graphics-heavy video games.

Of course, the next iMac is expected to have better CPU than its predecessor. It will likely come with Intel's Kaby Lake processor. According to PC World, Kaby Lake is Intel's latest 7th Generation Core chip. It has 14-nanometer structure and is design for productivity, virtual reality, and 4K gaming.

As of now, the full specs and features of iMac 2016 are not yet available. Of course, Apple will definitely position the next iMac as a significant upgrade over the current model that is available in market. We believe it will become available with faster processor, clearer screen and new other features.
