Many basketball fans have been asking on social media on how to get NBA 2K17 locker codes. These codes allow players to access awesome in-game items, new characters and many more. Now, here's the release date of NBA 2K17 locker codes and we'll give also updates about The Prelude mode.
In a blog post, 2K revealed that players can receive locker codes by buying two bags of Ruffles chips at Walmart. The date of purchase must be from September 10 to October 2. One bag of Ruffles chips costs around $3.
Take note that the NBA 2k17 game must also be purchased from WalMart. In order to get the codes, players have to present their proof of purchase. It is not necessary that all of the items are in a single receipt purchase. Players can consolidate all of the receipts and take a photo of it. Then submit the photo at RufflesNBA2K17@2k.com.
Interested players should hurry because the promo ends on Nov. 15. Those who submitted complete requirements will get 5,000 Virtual Currency (VC) and two jump packs of park cards.
In order to redeem a locker code, players should go to NBA 2k17's main menu and click the Options/Features button. After that, choose the locker codes option and key in the special locker codes.
Meanwhile, NBA 2k17 has a new feature that is much more significant than the locker codes. The Prelude gives players head start on MyPLAYER mode. Plus, it can improve their avatar's draft ranking.
The Prelude is a free downloadable content and is exclusively available for Xbox One players. According to Greg Thomas of Visual Concepts, it was specifically designed to welcome new players to the NBA 2k Series, and give them introduction to the widely-popular MyCAREER mode.

Interestingly, games can have 1,000 Gamerscore by finishing certain tasks. The gamescore earned in The Prelude will carry over the in the MyCareer mode, giving players a jumpstart in the game.
Some of the tasks are choosing which college to attend, getting ready for NBA draft and playing with Team USA.
As we previously reported, NBA 2k17 comes in three editions: the base game, the Legend Edition and the Kobe Bryant Legend Edition Gold. The Legend Editions cost more than $100, while the standard game costs $60. The game releases on Sept. 20.
