Previous reports claim Nintendo will reveal the NX before September ends but it did not happen. The hybrid console is expected to be released on March 2017. With that timeline, Nintendo needs to build a hype to satisfy their investors. Now, some tech experts speculate the company will unveil its new hardware this Christmas season.

Here's the latest round-up of update about Nintendo NX release date, leaks and rumors on the web.

It has been more than 600 days since Nintendo announced the development of NX during an investor meeting. The gaming company did it to reassure stockholders that there's a new product. Assuming the hardware will be released on March 31, Nintendo should be making significant steps now to introduce the system. However, the company is still tight-lipped, leaving fans to rely on rumors and speculations.

According to Forbes, a holiday launching would more profitable for Nintendo since it is a gift-giving season. Then after that announcement, the company can create an effective marketing strategy to introduce the hardware to casual and veteran gamers.

But as now, details about Nintendo NX are still scarce. A number of rumored leaks have been surface online, and there's a big possibility they are not true. Some of the rumors claim the system won't be that powerful; It will be portable and can be connected to TV screen for home play; and it will come with detachable controllers for mobile play. These leaks are not yet confirmed, so we still have to wait for Nintendo's official announcement.

Despite the lack of information about NX, Ubisoft's CEO Yves Guillemot has been showering the system with praises in the past few months. At the company's recent investor meeting, The CEO stated the NX will bring Nintendo back in console race, as per report from French journalist Chloe Woitier

Furthermore, in a separate Ubisoft presentation, Guillemot described the NX as "fantastic machine" and represents "a new approach" in gaming system.

Gaming experts say Ubisoft's best interest is to hype up the Nintendo NX. The game publisher will reportedly release a number of games for the new platform when it becomes available. It is confirmed that Ubisoft's Just Dance 2017 will be coming to the NX, and gamers should expect more projects from the publisher.

With that being said, let's wait for more announcements from Nintendo regarding the NX system. We'll keep you posted if there's new information. Stay tuned with Gospel Herald for more update.
