Most of the ads for Google Pixel have "Only on Verizon" tagline, but it is not simply true. The phone also works on AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. Now, here's how you can get an unlocked version of Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL.

Google Pixel's ads mean Verizon is the only carrier that can sell the phone, and buyers can't get it on AT&T or Sprint store. However, they can pre-order a Pixel online through Google Store and use it on any major carrier, as per report from CNET.

It is fairly easy to get Google's new smartphone. Just visit Google's official website, select a model, and choose a payment plan. The full price of 32GB Pixel is $649. For installment, Google offers $24.04/month plan for 24 months. Interestingly, pre-orderers can also get a free $79 Daydream View virtual reality headset.

As we said earlier, the Pixel or Pixel XL from Google's website is unlocked, and that means it is usable on a wide variety of carriers.

For Verizon subscribers, the mobile carrier is offering up to $300 trade-in value for following phones: LG V10, LG G4, Galaxy S6 Edge or Edge+, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, or HTC M9. For installment plan, its financing is $24.08/month for 24 months.

As for the specs of the Pixel, expect it to have top-of-the-line features. Inside, it is powered by Snapdragon 821 processor clocked at 2.51GHz. It is also equipped with 4GB of RAM, and a choice of 32GB or 128GB storage.

According to The Verge, the Pixel's 12-megapixel front camera is described as the best camera in any smartphone. It offers innovative features like exposure compensation and white balance control. In addition, it uses Google's new artificial intelligence to capture the clearest, best shot. The camera also uses HDR+ by default to snap high-quality images.

Aside from impressive camera, the Pixel has advanced digital assistant that is better than Siri and Alexa. The new Google Assistant is one of the phone's killer features. It is more contextually aware to what is happening on user's devices. Plus, it can give in-depth information to users.

It is also worth mentioning that the Pixel comes with pre-installed Android Nougat right out of the box. Nougat is Google's latest operating system for mobile gadgets.

With that being said, The Google Pixel and Pixel XL are now available for preorder and will hit stores on October 20.
