The pilot episode of Rick and Morty Season 3  surprised many fans around the world when it aired on April 1 (Aprils Fool's Day). In the next episode, we might see Jerry Smith as the new villain. Now, here's the latest update on Rick and Morty Season 3 release date and spoilers.

As we already know, Galactic Federation is now controlling planet Earth.  The federation also turned the Eiffel tower into a big weapon, because what else would you do with Paris' massive landmark.  It is just one way to prove the Galactic Federation is a bunch of megalomaniacs.

Obviously, the totalitarian aliens are causing problems to the people, but there is one resident that seems to be happy with Galactic Federation-controlled planet.  Jerry Smith's new newfound sense of joy is directed to the federation's presence on Earth, and it might cause some problems to other characters, specifically for Rick.

Keep in mind that Jerry and Rick's relationship is not in the right place. So, Jerry's support to the federation could be a problem.  Several websites claim Jerry might have more airtime in the third season and his character development will be one of the things that fans will look out for.

Rick and Morty Season S3E2 is titled "Rickmancing the Stone," which is a reference to the classic rom-com Romancing the Stone. For those who can't remember the movie, it is a film about a writer who collaborated with a mercenary to save his sister. In connection with the TV series, we might see Summer Smith in a life-threatening situation in Episode 2, and Morty will ask for Rick's help to save her.

The show's Twitter account promised more episodes would come out "this summer."  The series' second season started in July 2015, leading fans to speculate that the next episodes will come out in July 2017.

It is reported that Rick and Morty Season 3 is already written. The producers are only waiting for the animation team to finish their work to release the whole Season 3.
