The Netflix series about the suicide of Hannah Baker returns next year. Showrunner Brian Yorkey already revealed his ideas for 13 Reasons Why Season 2, and it sounds fascinating. On Twitter, there's a list of things that what we can expect for the second season. It looks we'll know more Jessica Davis' story.

Hannah's onetime best friend had a rough experience in the first season. She was raped by Bryce with the consent of her boyfriend Justine. Many fans find Jessica's experience very horrific because the perpetrator has not been in any way brought to justice. Also, Jessica is still recovering from the terrible experience. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Yorkey pointed out that it would be "upsetting" if Jessica's story will end that way.

In the third item of 13 Reasons Why Season 2 plot bullet points, it says "there will be a narrator, but it won't be Hannah - No more tapes." Since Hannah has finished telling her story, Jessica could be the new voice-over in the second season. There are also rumors that we might go back in time to see Jessica's perspective.

The showrunner also says the series will no longer revolve around cassette tapes, but some fans think there will be some kind of new media, possibly YouTube videos or something that reflects the structure of the first season.

The next season will also talk about "the way we raise boys up into men and the way we treat girls in our culture." Based on that statement, the lingering effect of Jessica's rape seems to be one of the key aspects of Season 2. It is also a great topic to talk about, given how men treat women in the first season. There's the slut-shaming of Hannah and horrific rape storylines.

Meanwhile, many viewers are curious about Alex's cliffhanger. Was Alex shot by Tyler? This is the most popular theory amongst fans than the suicide attempt. Tyler's has a stash of guns hidden in his room that he can use to kill Alex. He also took down Alex's photo in his studio, which foreshadows his murder attempt.

There are also speculations that he'll use his gun collection to do a school shooting. Also, the photos of other students in his studio might be his target.

As of now, there's still no 13 Why Season 2 release date or trailer. Given that most of Netflix shows take around one year to shoot, the second season might become available in March 2018. Keep in mind that the first season was released in March 2017, so Season 2 might come out in the same month.

The first season of the series became the most tweeted show of 2017 and broke a Netflix record. In its first week of airing, it amassed more than 3.6 million tweets.
