CWM Hosts the Second CWMM Program for the East Asia Region in Taiwan

The second Community of Women and Men in Mission (CWMM) program for the East Asia Region in Council of World Missions (CWM) in 2005 is now being held in Taipei, Taiwan. The progam will be held from January 10 thru January 14, and will be hosted by the Presbyterian Church of Taiwan (PCT).

The theme of the program is ‘Theology Seminar on Woman’s Role in the leadership of the Church.’ The purpose of the program is to promote interaction and sharing from each member church in the EAR models of good examples for the participation of female and male elders and deacons in church leadership.

The representatives of each member church in their own countries actively participate in the interaction opportunities provided by the workshop, which allows for the cooperation in leadership and mutual understanding of their countries development.

Representatives from the Gereja Presbyterian Malaysia (GPM), Hong Kong Council of the Church of Christ in China (HKCCCC), (Presbyterian Church in Singapore (PCS), Presbyterian Church in Taiwan (PCT), Presbyterian Church of Korea (PCK), and the Presbyterian Church of the Republic of Korea (PROK) have been invited to participate in this program.

The goal for the program is to properly investigage male/female co-working relationship in the biblical context through speeches made by speakers and discussion held amongst the attendants. Thus, aiding church growth and development.
