NBA is also implementing other innovative methods to get the fans engaged with their idols. Here are the additional social media channels made available during The Finals:

Facebook Fandom Map: A map of the United States will provide a state-by-state breakdown of which team fans in each state want to see win The Finals.

Twitter: NBA will provide real-time in-game highlights with #NBARapidReplay via Twitter's new video player.  Additionally, the NBA will use Twitter "tune in cards" allowing fans to check in to every game, and "polling cards" for fans to weigh in on predictions for upcoming games, select the leading scorer of the game, and more.

Snapchat: After a successful launch at NBA All-Star, the NBA will use Snapchat, the photo messaging application, to provide fans with behind-the-scenes images during The Finals.

Reddit "Ask Me Anything": On select non-game days, fans will be able to ask NBA legends and NBA players not participating in The Finals various questions on Reddit (www.reddit.com).

Flipagram: Following each game, the NBA will provide fans with access to a "virtual flipbook" of Instagram photos via Flipagram.

The Skimm: A select NBA player will "guest Skimm" about The Finals on the daily and informative e-mail newsletter (www.theskimm.com).
