Frozen 2 Release Date, Cast, and Movie Plot Spoilers: The Ending is Already Decided

Disney animation had a runaway hit when Frozen became the biggest animated film of all time.  Of course, one cannot ignore that something as big as this deserves a follow-up, and that is why Disney is taking its sweet time with Frozen 2.  This is what is known about a Frozen 2 Movie preview along with cast, plot spoilers, and the most recent update of the rumors.

The Master Herald reports that there is huge pressure on the Frozen co-creators Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee.  Apparently, Disney will not settle for a sequel that is anything less than perfect, and is prepared to let as many years pass as required to make this happen.  The ending of Frozen 2 has already been decided, so hopefully that is perfect enough.  I have not heard any suggestion of a "tacked-on trilogy", but if the writers plan it out right, there is no reason why Frozen 2 could easily bloom into a Frozen 3.  This would mean that Frozen 2 would end on a cliffhanger.

Of course, Buck and Lee are not talking about it, and there has been a lot of speculation as to the plot of Frozen 2Ecumenical News reports that the villain of Frozen 2 could be some exact opposite of Elsa who has "the opposite of ice powers".  So I suppose this would be a fire-powered character, which would definitely be a match, for sure.

There are also reports that Hans, who ended up being a bad guy at the end of the first Frozen film could be back.  He could be reformed, so that he would be helping Elsa and Anna.  It would be pretty funny if he turned out to be pretending to be reformed and end up being a bad guy once again.

There has always been a rumor for finding a match for Elsa.  After all, it seems like Anna found her man with Kristoff, but what about Elsa?  Disney could match Elsa with another woman.  Yes, I am talking about making the first openly gay Disney princess. An ending like that could start the Disney boycott of the nineties back again.  A recent report from iDigitalTimes states that the potential for that plotline is there, but Disney probably will not go that route.

The Latino Post states that Buck hinted that the sequel will take a page off the book of another famous fantasy book series.  Apparently, Buck was inspired by a visit to Austrailia and wanted to give Frozen 2 a touch of L. Frank Baum's Ozma of Oz.  What exactly that actually means, one cannot be certain.

Audiences should expect to see Elsa and Anna and all of the Frozen gang in 2018.  I don't have a more exact release date than that, but you can enjoy the short "Frozen Fever" when is included on the DVD/Blu-Ray copy of the live action Cinderella movie to be released on September 2015.
