Rovio had a serious hit on its hands when it released Angry Birds back in 2009.  Since then, the popular mobile game has spawned a lot of derivations including Angry Birds Space, Angry Birds Seasons, as well as movie tie-ins like Star Wars and Transformers.  The company is now going in a direction with a direct sequel with Angry Birds 2, and here are a few tips tricks and news about Rovio's latest game, available for download free on the App store and PC.

The game is almost a rebuild as Angry Birds 2 is "new era of addictive slingshot gameplay with stunning graphics, challenging multi-stage levels, scheming boss pigs, and even more destruction".  According to PC Mag, the visuals have been overhauled and the gameplay has multiple stages in each level.  The game is planned to be more challenging as the pigs have apparently learned from their building mistakes, but the birds know some spells like blizzards, magic ducks, as well as hot chili peppers.

For those interested in learning a few tricks and tips to help them advance through Angry Birds 2 levels, Gotta Be Mobile has some things that players can do for that.  Angry Birds 2 is one of those games where you have lives, but you will get them if you wait about a half an hour to play again or by obtaining gems within the game.  That, or you can simply set your clock ahead.  Yes, it's an old cheat for these types of mobile games, but it works.

The issue with lives is that a bad first shot can cost you a level.  If you restart, that will cost you a life.  It is highly suggested that you just fling what remains of your birds.  Even if you don't defeat the level, you will get a better idea of how to defeat it next time.

There are upgrades available every day if you just log on.  These rewards will help you get the items that you need to defeat difficult levels.

Another tip is choosing the right bird.  Unlike the first game, you can choose the order that the bird come in.  Figure out a strategy for taking down the obstacles, and which birds have the talents that will allow for three-star beatings.  Study each bird carefully and see which ones are the best for any given situation.

After you take the first shot, you shouldn't just fire away again.  Sometimes, a wait as short as two seconds will allow something else to fall that can beat the level or do something else important for changing your strategy.  By the way, after you pull back on the slingshot, it is possible to cancel the shot and switch to another bird.  All you need to do is just move back the slingshot slowly and then let go, making sure that the slingshot is all the way back.

Angry Birds 2 is available now at the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the PC.  It is free, but you will need to pay for any extras.
