Ubisoft's upcoming action-adventure stealth video game titled Assassin's Creed: Syndicate has just been treated with the unlikely inclusion of two famous historical figures. Those who will pre-order the game will receive a free downloadable content (DLC) featuring Charles Darwin and Charles Dickens.

Other prominent people from the past had already been featured in the Assassin's Creed series. For instance, Leonardo da Vinci and Benjamin Franklin have been included in previous DLCs. This time, renowned naturalist Charles Darwin and Victorian novelist Charles Dickens will join the roster via the aptly named "Darwin and Dickens Conspiracy Mission" pre-order bonus.

The game is set in London during the Industrial Revolution and stars Jacob and Evie Frye as its main characters. While in the middle of growing conflicts between newly minted industry leaders and the working class, the brother and sister duo will navigate the violent streets of the city. Jacob will then work from behind the scenes and will climb to the top of the criminal underground. They will emerge as the head of one of London's infamous street gangs.

Syndicate offers major changes in the franchise's the combat and stealth system so players can be less focused on hiding behind covers.

The game's publisher also shared a new trailer for the DLC showcasing the two iconic characters. Darwin and Dickens are shown talking to the game's protagonists, explaining the details for the missions that they need to complete.

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is slated to hit online and offline retail stores on October 23 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC. However, Ubisoft has announced on Wednesday that the release for the PC version will be moved to November 19, less than a month after being available on the two game consoles.

The PC version is currently still in development at Ubisoft Kiev and the delay was reportedly made in order to ensure the delivery of a more stable and optimized version of the game.

Sam Kovalev, studio production manager at Ubisoft Kiev, explained, "We have introduced several new improvements to our production pipeline and validation process, which allowed us to focus on polishing, stabilizing and optimizing the PC version very early on in the project. This has been one of the top priorities for the production team this year."

Nothing has been made official regarding Assasin's Creed: Syndicate's PC requirements, but the development team mentioned that it is targeting a 1080p resolution and 30fps setup.

While waiting for the game's arrival on October, or November, Assassin's Creed fans may check out the new Conspiracy Mission DLC below.
