It seems that Samsung will finally unveil the 7th generation of Galaxy S series early next year. According to Forbes, the latest flagship device is going to hit the market in February 2016. Now, here's what we know so far about the Samsung Galaxy s7's release date, specs, rumors and features.

The announcement of S7's launching came from China Mobile, the world's largest telecommunications company. Moreover, Slash gear published a series of pictures that reveal the release date of Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge and huge Galaxy S7 Plus.

This release date would significantly change the launching of Samsung phones. Last year, the South Korean multinational conglomerate put the Galaxy S6 on sale in April. Tech experts believe that this change in launching cycle will continue in the future.

Furthermore, the earlier release date  lets Samsung get a bigger head start against new Apple devices. Galaxy S7 will significantly have a 7-month advantage from iPhone 7, which is expected to release in September 2016.

It is also interesting to note that the company also looks to be stockpiling for the February 2016 launch with no less than three different Galaxy S7 designs. These all-new designs will definitely excite Samsung followers worldwide.

As for the Galaxy S7's specs, Alphr gave interesting details. The latest flagship device is set to have a 12-megapixel camera with a ½-inch sensor. In addition, tech informant S Leaks has tweeted that the phone could feature a 20-megapixel camera with RAW image support.

During Samsung's recent 2015 Investors Forum, the company unveiled a number of new details about their new BRITECELL camera sensor, including a potential reduction in module size.

The latest camera technology can improve picture quality in low light by using a new filter arrangement. The BRITECELL technology also allows for smaller pixel sizes, dropping from 1.12um to 1.0um. That apparently results in a 17% reduction of module height as well as an increase in pixel density up to 20 megapixels.

For the processing power of S7, the device will have two variants for different markets. For western buyers, they will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. For Asian buyers, they receive will Samsung's own Exynos M. Samsung's own processor performed better at more than 2,200 at the single-core test and almost 7,000 on multi-core performance.

According to Latinos Post, Galaxy S7 price might stand at around $460, making it one of the cheapest Samsung premium phones.
