WWE 2K16 DLC Hall of Fame Showcase DLC, Future Stars DLC Release Dates and Royal Rumble Results

Last Sunday, there was a lot of action at the WWE Royal Rumble.  For those that crave wrestling action on the PlayStation and Xbox, there has been a lot of downloadable content (DLC) rolling out for 2K Sport's hit game WWE 2K16. There is a release date set for the Future Stars Pack, but not yet for the Hall of Fame Showcase. 

MNR Daily reports that the Future Stars Pack will be available on January 26th. The Future Stars pack includes Samoa Joe, as well as tag teams of Los Matadores (Diego and Fernando) as well as Blake and Murphy. 

Other DLC packs that are readily available for purchase include The Legends pack is available for $9.99, and allows the player to become WWE Legends like Big Boss Man, Dusty Rhodes, Lita, Mr. Perfect, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, and Trish Stratus.

Other DLC includes the New Moves Pack, which costs $3.99.  This gives the player access to 30 new movies, including the Corner Enzuigiri (made popular by WWE Diva Nikki Bella), Avalanche Ram (made popular by WWE Diva Paige), Sidewinder Suplex (made popular by WWE and NXT Superstar Kevin Owens), Standing Crossface Chickenwing (made popular by WWE Superstar Stardust) and Dragon Sleeper (made popular by NXT Superstar Finn Bálor). The WWE 2K16 Accelerator has also been released for $1.99, giving players instant access to all unlockable content available in the game, excluding the downloadable content.  

Yet to be revealed to players is the last DLC pack for WWE 2K16 is 2015 Hall of Fame Showcase, which allows playable matches that include: "Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Jake "The Snake" Roberts; Rikishi vs. The Rock; Alundra Blayze vs. Paige; Larry Zbyszko vs. Arn Anderson; Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Ric Flair; The Bushwhackers (Butch Miller and Luke Williams) vs. The Natural Disasters (Typhoon and Earthquake); The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) vs. Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray).

All of the above DLC is available with a Season Pass for $24.99.  There is also a standalone bonus pack known as Arnold "The Terminator" Schwarzenegger Pack for $4.99 with two playable characters: the T-800 from The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day.  Another pack available separately is the MyPlayer KickStart for $9.99, which will give players instant access to boost created Superstar ratings and attributes in the game's MyCareer mode. 

Meanwhile, in the real world of Wrestling, WWE's Royal Rumble happened last Sunday night with some things that might affect the WWE 2K16 game, and possibly WWE 2K17.  For the first time, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship was defended, as Triple H made his big and triumphant return, according to SB Nation

Other highlights include Dean Ambrose defeating Kevin Owens in the WWE Intercontinental Championship Last Man Standing Match, as well as the WWE Tag Team Championship Match with The New Day defeating The Usos, not to mention Charlotte defeating Becky Lynch in the WWE Divas Championship Match.  Also included in the action was the Fatal 4-Way Kickoff match with Mark Henry and Jack Swagger defeating Darren Young and Damien Sandow, the Dudley Boyz and The Ascension.  There was also the WWE United States Championship Match where Kalisto defeated Alberto Del Rio.
