Apple is all sent to host its upcoming event on March 21. Being one of the biggest tech companies in the world, consumers can surely expect the Cupertino-based firm to unveil new models of its flagship devices next week.

Some of these devices include an 2016 version of the MacBook Pro as well as the highly-anticipated follow-up to the iPad Air 2. As noted by MacWorld, Apple launched the 13 and 15-inch variants of its flagship laptop in March and May last year.

Apple could follow the same timeline and unveil a new version of the MacBook Pro on Monday. The company, however, has not yet released the complete list of specs of the new laptop model but based on rumors and current tech trends, the upcoming MacBook Pro is expected to run on the sixth generation i7 processor from Intel, which is also known as the Skylake.

After all, Apple has already fallen behind in using this piece of hardware since competitors Microsoft, Dell and HP have already moved forward by equipping their current devices with the sixth-gen processor.

Another expected feature of the new MacBook Pro is an improved battery life. The previous versions of this laptop featured battery lives of eight to 10 hours. Hopefully, the new version will feature a more efficient battery that can last up to 12 hours.

As for the iPad Air 3, leaked renders suggest that it might sport a 9.7-inch screen and could be powered by the latest A9X chipset with 4GB of RAM. Value Walk noted that with these specs, the follow-up of the iPad Air 2 could be the fastest 9.7-inch tablet in the world.

According to the site, reliable analyst Ming Chi Kuo of KGI Securities had previously predicted that the upcoming slate will not come with 3D Touch due to issues with production. But, despite the absence of this feature, the device is rumored to come with support for the Apple Pencil.

Another upgraded feature that the iPad Air 3 could sport is a 4K IPS LCD display. But, if Apple does proceed with this feature, then it should also equip the tablet with a better battery since 4K displays are very demanding when it comes to power supply.
