Pokémon Z and Pokémon GO Release Dates And News: Niantic Cancels Pokémon GO Display At GDC 2016

It has been an interesting year for Pokémon, as it is planned to have one, two, or even more games to unveil this year.  One of them is for sure coming out, and that is Pokémon GOPokémon GO is going to be a location-based game made for smartphones and tablets, where the player goes to real-life locations in search for the Pocket Monsters.  As for another long-awaited game, Pokémon Z, it is one of those rumored games that might not be around.  Then there are other Pokémon games like Pokémon Sun and Moon and Pokémon Rainbow, but this is the news about Pokémon Z and Pokémon GO release dates.

Pokémon fans were disappointed that the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2016 were disappointed that Niantic did not have any display of Pokémon GO at the convention which ends today. Niantic is most famous for making another location-based game with Ingress.  MNR Daily says that the reason for the cancellation of the planned showing was so Niantic could concentrate on an upcoming field test.

It is possible that this field test could occur this month, and it would be a closed beta test for a select number of players to participate, provided they have an iOS and Android device.

As for the Pokémon Z game, there might be a possibility that the game simply just doesn't exist.  Pokémon has not made any announcement for it, and it is possible that fans even created the possibility of this game, as they wanted some follow-up to Pokémon X and Y.  After all, there is a Pokémon XY and Z anime, with an English version airing on the Cartoon Network since February 20.

People believe that Pokémon Z would feature the mysterious legendary Pokémon named Zygarde, as that Pokémon is a fusion of two legendary Pokémon of Xernaes and Yveltal from Pokémon X and Y. However, this game has been "promised" for a long time, as in it has been rumored for years.

It would probably just easier to believe in actual Pokémon games that are out such as Pokémon Sun and Moon, not to mention Pokémon Rainbow, according to Master Herald.  So far, there isn't any release date made for Pokémon Sun and Moon yet, but Pokémon Rainbow is made to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise.  Pokémon has actually had some interesting celebrating with a Super Bowl commercial, at which it was thought Pokémon Z or at least a Pokémon GO release date would be announced.

Well, so far, there has been a Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow released for 3DS last February, so there could be more on the way, but Pokémon fans really want to see new developments now.
