Fans and followers of "19 Kids and Counting" and its spinoff, "Jill and Jessa: Counting On," are speculating that Jill Duggar is pregnant with her second child. Rumors about her pregnancy emerged after the reality TV star posted a new photo on her Instagram account.
In the photo, which was posted earlier this week, Jill was with her husband Derick Dillard and their son Israel. Jill was wearing a green top which many followers believed to be a maternity dress because of the way it looks.
Some fans even noted that the photo has been cropped to intentionally hide her baby bump. Other even said that based on the pic, it appears Jill is already five to six months pregnant.
As noted that by Fashion N Style, it is very likely that she is pregnant again given her family background. Also, another evidence supporting her pregnancy is the fact that their family's religion discourages its members from using birth control.
Although her pregnancy may only seem like a simple rumor, it can actually cause complicated issues if it turns out to be true. This is because Jill and her husband are currently in Central America for their missionary work. However, this region is one of the areas that's known to have been affected by the recent Zika outbreak, The Hollywood Gossip reported.
This disease, which is transmitted through mosquito bites, is believed to have no serious impacts on the health of adults. However, for pregnant women, getting infected could lead to serious effects on their children. This is primarily the reason why Eduardo Espinoza, the Deputy Health Minister of El Salvador, issued a statement telling women that they should avoid getting pregnant within at least the next two years to prevent the risk of getting affected by the Zika virus.
One Instagram user even told the Dillards that while in Central America, they should put off their plans of having a second child just to be safe.
Derick, on the other hand, recently posted a photo of himself holding a can of OFF! Bug spray while inside a Wal-Mart in Central America.
"I knew I could count on Wal-Mart to have what I need to combat that Zika Virus! #beprepared #zika," Dillard stated in the photo's caption.
