Josh Duggar To Sue The Police, Cites He Was ‘Hurt’ By Them

Josh Duggar is not the most loved among the 19 Duggar siblings when it comes to the popular vote, due to his sexual indiscretions in the past. What is he doing under the spotlight now? It seems that Josh Duggar has a mind to sue the police, claiming that he was ‘hurt’ by them. This is certainly rich, coming from the person who has molested five underaged girls when he was 14 to 15 years of age with four of them being his younger siblings. Jesse, Jill Duggar and the recently married Joy-Anna (Josh was not at the wedding) were some of his sisters whom he sexually molested when he was in his teens. Well, Josh filed some documents that will join the lawsuit that Jill, Jessa, Jinger and Joy Duggar filed in May 2017. Josh’s documents claimed that the police gave him assurance in his 2006 interview that whatever was discussed concerning the molestation of his sisters would not be disclosed, ala it would remain private. Josh also claimed that as he was not slapped with any charges, the information would not have gone public. This is assuming the reports were not leaked or released to In Touch magazine.

According to Josh Duggar, once the story broke, it resulted in him suffering from a whole lot of mental anguish and the feeling of humiliation. Those who are sympathetic toward him would agree that he was "victimized and forced to relieve the painful and difficult circumstances of a traumatic experience as a juvenile." Others might just scoff at that claim, citing that no matter how young or inexperienced one is, one should be trained to know that there are consequences to every single action that we are involved in each day. There is no escape from this universal law, and tough luck that he decided to explore his sexual awakening in the wrong direction.

Similar to his four sisters, Jill, Jessa, Jinger and Joy, Josh too, would want to obtain damages from Springdale, Arkansas police, the city and county prosecutors as well as the In Touch publishers. It remains to be seen just what the final amount would be, assuming it has been ruled in his favor that the parties named would have to pay out at the end of it all. There is also every chance that nothing happens, and Josh would be saddled with an even bigger lawyer’s bill. Such is the level of trickery in the legal landscape, where the most brilliant lawyer can even argue his or her way out of many situations while making use of the laws that are already in place.

Josh is not in the best of situations at the moment either. He is a father of five, and he is definitely working on repairing his marriage to Joy Duggar whom he had cheated on before, while having admitted to being addicted to pornography. No doubt that he is no longer featured in any of the Duggar family’s reality TV episodes, for a two-fold reason. His presence is not going to draw in the viewers, and ratings would plunge, and neither is it going to help him recover from where he is at the moment, emotionally and in the society.

While forgiveness is something that all of us should learn to dispense, there are some people who we forgive, where we can also choose to maintain a healthy boundary away from afterwards. Forgiveness is as much for the victim to heal and recover as it is to release the aggressor. Hopefully Josh Duggar will be able to find know that he is forgiven, and will forgive himself if he hasn’t done so already, while moving on in his life quietly.
