Registration for Annual Lutheran Counselors of Youth Ministry Conference is Now Available

The registration for the Congregating of Lutheran Church Counselors (CYLC) conference for volunteer and professional youth workers on July 24-27 in Orlando, Florida is now opened. The annual conference sponsored by the youth ministry this year is given the theme "Imagine! Youth Ministry that Really Works."

"CLYC 2003 will focus on creating intentional, practical youth-ministry programs with vision in the congregation," said Gretchen Jameson, youth-ministry communications manager.

The conference will consist of two sectionals led by the president of Youth Specialties of San Diego Mark Oestreicher and a workshop led by the authors of featured in Concordia Publishing House's "Youth Ministry BASICS." The workshop will be focused on leadership skills of teenagers to help teens reach their peers in "effective and intentional ways;" materials are contributed by the Missouri Synod's Lutheran Youth Fellowship.

Registration fee is $160 a person before May 1; the price will rise to $175 after the date. Special housing rates of $79 per double room are available in the Wyndom Orlando Resort where the conference will take place.
