The Assemblies of God Churches plan five regional Single Adult conferences for 2003 and 2004. These conferences, aimed at the 30-45 percent of A/G patrons who are single, seek to resolve relationship, career and single parenting issues that single and young adults face.

"These conferences are waking up the country to the numbers of young adults and single adults in society, and to their needs that demand to be addressed," Dennis Franck, Director, Single Adult Ministries said.

"If we don't discuss these issues, believers will look to the world for answers," Franck continued.

These conferences are not only designed to help single adults and young adults grow spiritually and relationally, but also to provide training for leaders. Last year, over 1,000 people from 34 states attended the conferences, with 320 completing leadership training.

"It [the conference] has benefited me greatly and I can't wait to begin applying all the great ideas," a single adult pastor from Texas said.

The upcoming conferences will take place at Maypearl, Texas (March 14-16); Indianapolis, Indiana (October 2-4); Kansas City, Missouri (November 7-9); Camp Hill, Pennsylvania (November 21-23); and Jacksonville, Florida (February 12-14, 2004).
