This Easter, the entire family can enjoy the story of ‘Passion’ through the recent release of “The Animated Passion Trilogy” by Nest Family Entertainment in December 2004.

"The Animated Passion Trilogy — created by the director of numerous Disney favorites including Fox and the Hound and The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh — is a family-friendly DVD series offering the Easter story of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.”

The producers of this trilogy “blend colorful, child-appropriate story-telling with Biblical accuracy’’ into three DVDs, each 30 minutes long.

The titles and descriptions of trilogy are Worthy is the Lamb, story of betrayal and crucifixion of Jesus, He is Risen, story of Jesus’ resurrection and ascension, and The Kingdom of Heaven shows the parable of Jesus and His return.

Mel’s Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ is an extraordinary film, but because of it graphic content, it maybe not be appropriate for young Children,” said Frausto. “These same powerful truths about Christ’s passion are also offered in our Animated Passion Trilogy, but in a video series that the whole family can watch together.”

Furthermore, it is different from major blockbuster movies. Not only does it cut off the graphic violence inappropriate for children, but the film also tells more of the story of Jesus Christ, his life, death, and resurrection than the movie. The movie only tells the story of one day, while the trilogy covers the last three public years of Jesus’ life.

The 3 DVD's include both English and Spanish language tracks, and can be found in Christian bookstores nationwide for $29.95. Frausto has stated that it is a good mission outreach tool.
