Rev. Hudson Taylor and his family have devoted their entire lives in China. The accomplishment of establishing the Chinese Inland Missions is known by many believers. Even today, the Overseas Mission Fellowship (OMF) missionaries traveled far distances in the East Asian region to many "unreached" regions of the gospel. Hudson Taylor is like Abraham, in which through the faith of one person have contributed to the tremendous growth today's believers in China mounting to as numerous as the stars in the sky and the sands on the seashore.

June 25th marks one century after the passing of Rev. Hudson Taylor, also the 140th anniversary of the Chinese Inland Missions. To commemorate his contributions to China, and to recall God's grace, OMF on June 24th to the 25th held a commemoration at Grace Hong Kong Evangelical Church titled "Serving for His Glory - Chinese Inland Missions / Overseas Mission Fellowship 140 Year Anniversary and Remembrance for One Century since Rev. Hudson Taylor's Passing." The two day event including the "East Asian Mission Challenge" vision sharing have attracted around 750 believers from different churches to attend.

Rev. James Taylor III said that this year not only commemorates the 100th year of Rev. Hudson Taylor's passing and 140 year anniversary of Chinese Inland Missions, this is also the commemoration of he and his mother's 50 years of service in China.

The two day mission conference was led by sermons from Rev. James Taylor III and Rev. James Taylor IV. Following, Rev. Taylor III addressed briefly the history of Hudson Taylor and the CIM history. The first night of the conference was presided by HK OMF director of operations Rev. Qingsheng Yao (姚慶生). The second night was presided by OMF chairman of the board Raymond P.C. Lo (盧炳照).

During the "East Asia Mission Challenge" vision sharing conference, missionaries from Philippines, the international rivers network in China, and other pioneering areas and from middle Asian ministries shared their experience.
