Having entered the Hong Kong music industry in 2009, The Chung Brothers have brought their canto-gospel music fused with an eclectic music genre to the public in Hong Kong. Their music has won wide-spread acclaim.
On the 2011 Metro Radio Hits Music Award Presentation held on December 28, the Chinese-American musician brothers won the “Metro Radio Hits Album Award” for their latest album release titled "Gospel Songbooks."
The award-winning album is composed of partnerships with "Father of Gospel Music" Ben Ng, various influential musicians and artists. Familiar church songs from the Hong Kong Association of Christian Music Ministries (HKACM) were resung and performed in a fushion of music genre, including R&B, Jazz, Bossa Nova, American Gospel, Blues to Folks, etc.
Voted as one of the top 40 Hong Kong musicians by TimeOut HK Magazine and one of Washington’s top jazz and blues musicians by Washington Post, Henry Chung is the premier blues harmonica player and bandleader in Hong Kong and Asia.
He wrote on their Facebook his reflections on winning the award, "Winning the ‘Metro Radio Hits Album Award’, thank God, and thank Ben Ng; this award doesn’t belong to The Chung Brothers, but to the comrades who have never forsaken Christian music.”
