USA wins the 2013 Gold Cup over Panama. Substitute Brek Shea scored in the 69th minute and the US held on for a 1-0 win over Panama at Soldier Field on Sunday.

The United States completes an undefeated tournament campaign and extend their record winning streak to 11, winning the championship the first time since 2007.

The first half of the Golden Cup 2013 final went goalless for both teams. Though Team USA had the clear advantage while controlling the majority of the possession, it struggled to break down Panama’s strong opposing defense.

Alejandro Bedoya had the Americans’ best opportunity to score in the 43rd minute, but failed to make the most of it. Head coach Jurgen Klinsmann was suspended for the match after being dismissed in the semifinal.

On the second-half, just one minute after entering the match as a substitute, Brek Shea scored the game-winning goal. Watch the highlight video below:
