Apple will hold a press event at its campus in Cupertino, Calif. on Sept 10. It is expected that they will unveil their new iPhone 5S, an update to the iPhone 5; and iPhone 5C, a lower-cost phone.

According to a number of rumors, the iPhone 5S release date will be on Sept 20. Apple are expected to put the iPhone 5S up for pre-order on Friday, Sept 13.

The iPhone 5S has been said to have a similar design to the iPhone 5, but with a new fingerprint sensor embedded near the circular home button. The feature would add to the security of the phone.

The fingerprint scanner will be built into the home button, letting it slide into the phone without forcing any drastic changes in the phone’s design.

The code suggests the iPhone 5S will ask you to scan your right thumb during the setup process, which will them be used to identify you – presumably cutting down the passwords and such you’ll have to enter.

The iPhone 5S is expected to come in a range of colors, which will include white, black, gold and possibly grey.

On the other hand, the iPhone 5S reportedly has a faster processor, improved camera and will be available in new gold finish.

However, the most noticeable change to the Apple users will be the next version of iOS -- iOS 7. It is reportedly that it looks radically different than previous versions with a new design and new features, including a Control Center with easy access to settings from any screen and new multitasking features.

iOS 7’s camera interface offers far more features than the stripped-back app of iOS 6.

Apple has released a new version of iOS in conjunction with new iPhones in years past. iOS 7 will be available for the iPhone 4, 4S and 5. It will also be out for the iPad 2, iPad with Retina and the iPad Mini.
