K-LOVE announced that the polls are open for fan voting for the K-LOVE Fan Awards. The last votes will be cast at 11:59 EST on Saturday, May 31 this year, and the winners will be announced live at the awards show in categories across the spectrum of Christian media and entertainment.

K-LOVE is a contemporary Christian music radio programming service in the United States, and is operated by the Educational Media Foundation.  As of last year, K-LOVE's programming was simulcast on over 450 stations, and has about 12 million listeners each week in cities all across America.

Last year, Toby Mac took home the Artist of the Year Award, and Big Daddy Weave won Song of the Year for "Reedemed", to name a couple of past music winners.  Alex Kendrick was a double award winner for Movie Impact and Book Impact, for his film, "Courageous", and his book, "The Love Dare".  Mike Fisher from The Nashville Predators won for Sports Impact in 2013.

The nominees include Mandisa, and Matthew West in the Song of the year award, and Jamie Grace and Plumb in the Female artist category.  "God's Not Dead" and "Son of God" are up for vote in the film category, to name a few, while Max Lucado is nominated in the Book Impact category.

According to K-LOVE's website,  for every 500,000 votes cast in this year's contest, they are partnering with World Hope to build a house in Detroit, Michigan. The goal is to gather 2 million votes, resulting in 4 new homes to families in Detroit.  This is in collaboration with the K-LOVE Hope Center, a facility in Detroit that will meet the physical and spiritual needs of the nearby community. To encourage voting, organizers are giving away a chance at tickets to the event for anyone who votes by May 9.

The star-studded award show will feature performances by  Francesca Battistelli, Chris Tomlin, Need to Breathe, Mercy Me, Hillsong United, and many more. The award show is the culminating extravaganza of the ever popular K-LOVE Fan Awards weekend and convention that kicks off at the Opryland Hotel and  convention center in Nashville, Tn., on May 30.  The event will feature over 14 different concerts over a weekend packed with worship and fellowship and fun.

Switchfoot is set to go Friday, as well as Tenth Avenue North, For King and Country, Rend Collective,  and a "surprise headliner", according to organizers.
