A student conference The Heated Christian, which was lead by V. Karpyuk, an employee of the Community of students, has taken place in Samara. At the forum attended by many Christian students of the Samara high schools, many questions arose: why it is necessary to share the message of Gospel with the fellow students, and people in streets, how to tell them about God. They discussed about how to share their own opinions, feelings experienced at the moment of repentance, how to testify about themselves and explain what the core of joy is in the Gospel.
As V. Karpyuk said, a passionate discussion inflamed bringing out a theme “Why Christianity - not a religion” and “What is the difference of belief in the Christ and religiousness”. During the meeting, students carried out many practical tasks. Tests for decisions on the style of evangelizing, which style to choose in different situations: intellectual, testifying, interpersonal, invitation, or serving. Each of the present defined, what style of dialogue they already use during evangelizing or meeting students at University.
Samara is one of the most beautiful cities with remarkable youth with huge desire and opportunities for spreading the Gospel at the Universities, said V. Karpyuk. And they do not miss such opportunities, they create student's groups, carry out assemblies and various actions for preaching the Gospel.
On November 15th, an opening of the first Christian exercise hall for youth has taken place in Samara, under aegis of the organization Youth for the Christ - Volga, All interested in the age of 13 to 25 can visit this hall. For teenagers and youth a professional trainer has developed a special sport program. Besides improving their physical shape and figures the youths have an opportunity to meet with new friends and listen to Christian music. As the teenagers said, visiting the new hall is important and useful not only for them alone. During the various sports activities, there is a great opportunity to testify to their friends and schoolmates about Jesus Christ.
