Mumbai, India., Nov. 25 - Sify Enterprise Solutions, the corporate services arm of Sify, India, has announced that it has collaborated with World Vision, the world’s largest privately funded Christian relief and development agency.

World Vision India works in more than 6,000 communities in the country, regardless of caste, colour, race or religion. It is supported by more than 40,000 Indians contributing regularly to its work, which is community based with sustainable development as its goal.

World Vision will use the power of the Internet in order to keep its partners and supporters informed about how their donations are used, as well as to provide a cutting edge gateway for new donors to begin their relationship with the organization.

World Vision chose Sify Enterprise Solutions, the only integrated end-to-end e-solutions provider of network, applications and security in India to realize this objective. For Sify’s cutting edge experience and unmatched expertise in Internet services matched World Vision’s need for a technology partner to create an information and donation portal that will provide this service.

Commenting on the collaboration, Dipan Bhattacharyya, vice president, enterprise application services said, "the work, though seemingly simple, was quite challenging as it involves a high level of integration across users, visitors and potential contributors to World Vision India through the site. We are developing a highly secure, customized solution, similar to Sify’s own e-commerce portal, using Sify’s payment gateway for online transactions. Moreover the new World Vision website will be hosted on our level III Internet Data center for guaranteed uptimes, as well as facilitate disaster recovery in case of any emergency."
