Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Date in U.S: AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon

With Samsung confirming the Galaxy Note 4 release date, AT&T was the first to launch the Samsung Note series in the U.S. Customers can preorder the new Galaxy Note 4 online starting Sept. 19. Shipping for preorders is expected to begin Oct. 14.

Meanwhile, Sprint and T-Mobile have also made pre-order announcements. The Galaxy Note 4 delivery date is set for Friday, Oct. 17. T-Mobile will start accepting Galaxy Note 4 starting on Sept. 24. Sprint will do the same on Sept. 26.

Other carriers such as Verizon and US Cellular have yet to formally announce preorder dates. Even so, customers can register for instant-notification at Verizon regarding when it starts offering preorders for the Galaxy Note 4.

Preorder Prices and Offers

Available in Charcoal Black and Frost White, AT&T is offering the Note 4 for $299.99 with a two-year contract. Customers can also choose to pay $34.42 per month for 20 months or $41.30 per month for 24 months. New customers and existing AT&T customers who activate a new line of service with a smartphone on AT&T Next will receive a $100 bill credit.

Sprint has a deal that allows qualified buyers to purchase the Galaxy Note 4 with $0 down and 24 month payments of $30. The nationwide carrier is also pushing out a $60 Unlimited Plan with the Galaxy Note 4.

Meanwhile, T-Mobile is offering a similar purchase option for $0 down and 20 monthly payments of $31.24. However, the deal only applies to participating T-Mobile stores as well as the company's online store.

Specs Overview

The Galaxy Note 4 replaces Samsung's previous Galaxy Note 3 smartphone. The mobile device comes with a 5.7-inch Quad-HD display. On the outside, the metal case has a soft-texture back. An S-pen is included, and is held in a slot on the back of the phone. There is a rear facing 16-megapixel camera along with a 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Note 4 is powered by 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processor with 3 GB of RAM. The device also has 32 GB of internal storage, and runs on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. Nonetheless, the phone has a microSD slot that can accept a card of up to 128GB.

Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 is expected to face tough competition from rival Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The two Apple devices start selling at stores on Friday, Sept. 19.
