A recent report from The Daily Mail revealed that Michael Schumacher's wife, Corinna, has sold their £25million jet and holiday home, and it was revealed that she accepts that her husband might not ever enjoy them again due to his brain injury.
Part of the reason for the sale might be to pay for medical bills, which are probably pretty high considering that the 46-year-old is looked after by a team of carers. There are also reports that she is considering selling their chalet at Meribel in the French Alps.
Corrina has reportedly taken over her husband's £500million business empire, and a report from Germany reads: "As a woman, she is alone. Alone in a golden empire".
Meanwhile, Schumacher's 16-year-old son Mick is starting his own races. Unfortunately, Mick recently suffered a fracture in his right hand during a Formula 4 race at the Red Bull Ring in Austria after he was hit by Thomas Priening and the vehicle was damaged. Mick Schumacher has lost his wings, and thought is "was a shame my race had to end so early".
The Telegraph reports that since the year after coming out of his coma, Michael Schumacher has been showing "precious signs of progress". Schumacher's manager, confirmed that he left the hospital in Grenoble, France, and moved to a rehabilitation clinic in Lausanne, Switzerland. It was in November of last year when Kehm stated that "progress has been made in the past weeks and months" but there was still "a long and difficult road ahead".
There hasn't really been much specific details on Michael Schumacher's condition. There was a report last year made by Philippe Streiff, a former F1 driver who was also paralyzed in a testing accident in 1989, who stated that Schumacher did not have the power of speech, but started to recognize those close to him. Kehm was quick to say that Streiff's comments were "factually wrong" and constantly states that Schumacher is in for "a long time and a hard fight".
For those who are unaware of Michael Schumacher's condition, his accident occurred on December 29, 2013 when he was skiing and struck a partially covered rock. Schumacher then lost control and crashed into another rock, shattering his helmet. He had a camera attached to his helmet that caught the footage of this collision, and it has been analyzed to show that the injury was indeed an accident. This accident caused a lot of brain damage as well as a coma that he awoke from on April 4, 2014, a process of reawakening that actually began in January of that year.
