Call of Duty: Black Ops III, the fifth installment to the popular first-person shooter video game developed by Treyarch, will be released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on November 6, 2015.

Treyarch described Call of Duty: Black Ops III as a video game that "deploys players into a dark, twisted future where a new breed of Black Ops soldiers emerges and the lines are blurred between our own humanity and the technology we created to stay ahead, in a world where cutting-edge military robotics define warfare. With three unique game modes: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies, providing fans with the deepest and most ambitious Call of Duty ever."

Treyarch recently released a zombie mode teaser of the highly anticipated 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' was revealed, but company director Jason Blundell is scheduled to make a major announcement about the game on July 9, said Food World News.

Bundell will be giving an hour-long presentation and provide more details about the games new features, and at the same time give loyal fans of Call of Duty series a sneak peak of the new game mode. There were reports that the voices in the upcoming 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' will be provided by an all-star cast.

One of the most interesting features of Black Ops 3 is the "Safe House," an online platform that allows players to hang out and interact with other players while trying to create their own teams for the multiplayer edition of the game. Players can customize and modify their equipment and use the XP they have gained using the Safe House.

Interestingly, Sony announced at the recent E3 2015, that gamers using the PS4 and PS3 consoles will get the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC a month earlier than everyone else, reported Attack of the Fanboy.

This is the first time that Activision, publisher of Call of Duty, has entered into such deal with Sony for its PlayStation platform. Usually Activision seals this kind of deal with Microsoft and its Xbox platforms.

Sony's Adam Boyes said the deal was sealed after he was invited by Activision to see Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 in person. After playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Boyes said he "fell in love instantly" with the game and continued talks with Activision to "work something out".  Sony and Activision finalized a deal giving PlayStation consoles an early DLC plus the upcoming beta.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is the fifth game in the Black Ops series, following Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified, and Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III is set 40 years after the events of Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Black Ops III follows up on the events of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, specifically in regards to the drone strikes of 2025 that took place at the hands of Raul Menendez at the end of the game. The year is now 2065 and technology is irrevocably embedded on the battlefield.
