It seems like Samsung has a hit on their hands with the Note series, and the Note 4 phone has a huge following as well as a huge size.  It stands to reason that the Note 5 will have some upgrades, and there could actually be an upgrade to a Galaxy S6 Edge to a Plus Edition.  This is what we know about the rumors of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus release date, specs, and rumors.

A recent report on Android Authority says that we do know something about the Note 5.  They say that it will be released as SM-N920, and will have a QHD SAMOLED flat display.  It will have a 64-bit Octa-core Exynos 7422 all-in-one chipset that includes the GPU, RAM storage, and LTE modem on-board.  It will not have a 4K panel.

A recent report on GSM Arena has shown at least some details about the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.  The Galaxy Note 5 with a flat unit with no screen curvature, but the frame overlaps the edges and it looks like another glass back.  It looks like the Note could be losing the removable battery, but it could have wireless charging capability.  The signature S pen will still be present.  In fact, it could have an ejectable S-Pen, a designed that Samsung patented last month.

The precise dimension could be 153.mm x 76.1mm x 7.9mm with a screen diagonal of 5.7 inches.  It looks like micro USB connector won't be a type C.  The camera setup for the Note 5 will be 16 Megapixels with OIS and 5 Megapixels front-facing one.  The memory will be at 4GB for RAM (compared to last year's 3 GB model) and 32GB of onboard storage.  Then there will be a battery with 4,100 mAh, and it will also axe the micro SD card slot from the phone.

There is a second set of renders which look like the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.  It is essentially a supersized Galaxy S6 Edge, with a curved design made of glass.  The precise dimensions of this phone are 154.4mm x 75.8mm x 6.9mm.  There is a battery life of about 3,000 mAh.

So when will the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus be out?   Well, as Business Insider has pointed out, it could be on August 12th.  Yes, this is a rumor, but if this is true, the phones will probably come out on sale on August 21st

It really seems like it would be wise for Samsung to unveil the Note 5 and the S6 Edge Plus to introduce these two devices before the fall.  Why is that?  Why Apple, of course.  The company will more than likely unveil the Apple iPhone 6S, or whatever it will be called, before that time, and maybe even an iPhone 6S Plus.  It would be smart if Samsung had their phones (or should I say phablet) earlier.
