When the month of July ends, then the entire month of August is devoted to back to school deals.  Retail outlets really devote their special sales to back to school sales, and what most high school and college students need is a tablet.  For those who are shopping for a student for back to school, here are some of the best tablets of 2015 including Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, Lenovo, and much more.

Apple iPad

What can I say about the Apple iPad that hasn't been said before?  Without it, there wouldn't be the tablet market that there is today.  The current model, the iPad Air 2, has a 9.7-inch screen, 8 Megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.2 Megapixel front-facing camera, 2048 MB RAM, 128 GB of built-in storage, and 7340 mAh battery for an MSRP of $829.  If you want an Apple tablet with a smaller screen, you can get the iPad mini 3 with a 7.9-inch screen, 5 Megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.2 Megapixel front-facing camera, 1024 MB RAM, 128 GB of built-in storage, and 6350 mAh battery for an MSRP of $729.  By the way, the newest model should be coming out in the fall if you are willing to wait until after school stars.

Samsung Galaxy Tab

If you are looking for an Android Tablet with version 5.0 (also known as Android L or Lollipop), you can get the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, which comes in two models.  The 8.0-inch screen has an 8 Megapixel rear-facing camera, 2.1 Megapixel front-facing camera, 64 GB built-in storage, and 4000 mAh battery.  The 9.7 inch screen has the same specs with a 5870 mAh battery.

Microsoft Surface 3

When it comes to the tablets, the Surface is different as it has a Windows operating system and a snap-on keyboard.  It has a 10.8 inch screen, 8 Megapixel rear-facing camera, 3.5 Megapixel front-facing camera, 4096 MB RAM, 128 GB of built-in storage, for an MSRP of $699.

Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro

The Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro is kind of a tablet and laptop all-in-one.  The Yoga 3 Pro has four modes.  The first is laptop, which is your typical keyboard on desk while screen is at angle mode.  The second is tablet, with the keyboard folded up completely and the touchscreen ready to use like the average tablet.  The third is tent, with the tablet in an upside-down V formation with the touchscreen on the outside.  The fourth is the stand, which tilts the screen away from the keyboard, making it good for just viewing content.

The Yoga 3 Pro can only claim 7.2 hours of battery life, runs Windows, and has a starting price of $1,249.00.
