The Oklahoma City Thunder are entering the upcoming NBA season with incredibly strong confidence that the Kevin Durant squad could finally clinch the Western Conference title this. More than dominating the West, it looks like the strength and aggressiveness exhibited by Oklahoma City Thunder stars Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant and Dion Waiters are extremely promising signs in terms of unseating the Golden State Warriors and becoming the new NBA Finals champions.

Although the competition in the West could turn out to be quite challenging this year, especially with the entry of LaMarcus Aldridge in the San Antonio Spurs roster and the promising performance of Rajon Rondo in the practices of the Sacramento Kings, fans and followers of the Oklahoma City Thunder squad remain confident that the return of the great Kevin Durant could spell the difference to the game plays executed by head coach Billy Donovan.

Should the Oklahoma City Thunder actually emerge victorious in the Western Conference, presumably beating the likes of Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs, Rudy Gay of the Sacramento Kings, James Harden of the Houston Rockets and Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers, then Kevin Durant and his squad have yet to confront basketball stars such as LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls to actually take home the NBA championship trophy. Could the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball stars do it?

Apart from the return of Kevin Durant in the Oklahoma City Thunder roster this NBA season, the team also looks forward to the changes made in their gameplay and strategies.

"Definitely. Definitely more space," shared Russell Westbrook, referring to the revised game plays of the Oklahoma City Thunder this upcoming NBA season. The NBA star further stated, "Guys are in positions where they can score the basketball. The space is especially good for myself and it's also good for guys that shoot the basketball really well, roll to the basket, whatever it is, can use their strengths really well."

According to Russell Westbrook, the new plans mapped out by Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Billy Donovan are providing more chances for the basketball stars in their roster to seize scoring options. Hence, the NBA will no longer have to rely on just one or two stars to rack up points during games this season.

"I've said this before: When you're coming in and you're putting new things in, they've had a real open mind," shared Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Billy Donovan. He added, "They're really, really bright in terms of the pace."

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder crowd saw a leader in Dion Waiters during the eighth annual Blue and White Scrimmage of the NBA team. "It's my job to go out there and make plays for myself and others," shared Dion Waiters, referring to his role in the Oklahoma City Thunder scrimmage.

He added, "Anytime the defense collapses, I'm able to kick it out and find guys like A-Mo and everybody else. It makes my job easier when I can do that and guys are knocking down shots."
