The Bible serves as a constant reminder of the words of God. As we continue with our day to day activities, we are often solely focused on achieving our goal which would lead to our neglect of some of the basic Christian values put forth in the scriptures. While accomplishing great feats reflects a person's determination and willpower, perhaps incorporating the teachings of the Church in our daily endeavors can catapult our triumphs to greater heights. As we deal with our duties everyday, let us not forget to take a moment to look at the world around us and remind ourselves that there are other things in life more significant than yet another notch in the long list of material possessions: our loved ones.

Wading through the challenges of our daily lives, let us pause for a moment to take notice of the other people around us, especially those who never waver in their belief in our capabilities. Let us not forget the order priority in our lives - that is, we must learn to focus on what is more important than material greatness. Moreover, let us take time to appreciate our family members and try to extend a bit of ourselves to others in an effort to spread the word of God. Here are Bible verses that can help us reflect on the more significant things in life outside monetary rewards and material accomplishment.

Bible verses on marriage and family

[1] But from the beginning of creation, 'God made them male and female.' Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.' So they are no longer two but one flesh.  What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate. (Mark 10:6-9)

[2] Honor your father and mother so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you. (Exodus 20:12)

[3] A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. (Proverbs 31:10)

[4] Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. (Hebrews 13:4-7)

[5] Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them. (Colossians 3:18-19)

Bible verses on children

[1] All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children. (Isaiah 54:13)

[2] Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate. (Psalm 127:3-5)

[3] Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children's children. (Deuteronomy 4:9)

[4] All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children. (Isaiah 54:13)

[5] Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged. (Colossians 3:21)
